Austal is aglobal contractor and a designer and manufacturer of commercial ships with head office in Australia and shipyard in Philippines and USA.

Austal has been at the forefront of the high speed ferry market since the early days of the industry. their market leading designs of high performance aluminium vessels have long been at the heart of Austal’s research and development. Today, commercial ship construction is centred on shipyard in Balamban, Philippines.

Austal has been awarded a contract for the construction of a 50 metre high speed passenger catamaran for Seaspovill a South Korea ferry operator and two 30 metre passenger catamaran ferries for Philippines largest ferry cooperation Supercat.

After a deep consideration of all available ferry passenger seats manufacturers. TRASEA MARINE was chosen as the preferred supplier for total 3 vessels.

For South Korea ferry total 455 passengers. Ferry passenger seats TRA-02 are provided for main deck , upper deck, crew seats. Covers are produced from fire retardant (British Standard) fabrics. The blue and red cover colors required by the ship owner making the ferry more impressive visually. TRA-04 is fitted for VIP room . the cow leather seat cover upgrade the seating from top to bottom. 5pcs TRA02 also equipped for crew.

For Philippines ferry passenger seats project there are 306 seats for each vessel. 187 pcs TRA02 type is fitted for main deck with DNV GL approved vinyl seat cover and 32pcs TRA04 vinyl seats for upper deck internal. Most seats are installed meal tray at the seat back which convenient for passengers in back row to have meals.

For upper deck outdoor seating TRA-07 plastic ferry seats was installed. A life jacket tray under each seat row to store the life jackets. Weather resistance and easy maintaining is the reason why TRA-07 was chosen for the exterior seating.
